    Tape excerpts

"This is Linda Sanders. I need to know where my husband is."

    Dispatch: "Who is your husband?"

Sanders: "He was shot at Columbine High School! I know he was shot twice! Nobody knows where they took him. Please, help me find him!"

    ...

"This is Wayne Harris, my son is Eric Harris, and I'm afraid that he might be involved in the shooting at Columbine High School. ... He's a member of what they're calling the Trenchcoat Mafia."

911: "OK Mr. Harris, have you talked to your son today?"

    Harris: "No, I haven't. ..."

911: "Your son is with who; what gang?"

Harris: "Well, they're calling them the Trenchcoat Mafia. ... I just heard that term on television."

    ...

A caller found an Internet profile possibly linked to the suspects. "Do you have an e-mail address there?" he asked.

"No, we don't," he is told.

    ...

"Sarge ... do you have access to America Online right now?" a dispatcher asks a co-worker.

The reply: "No. ... I don't have any AOL accounts here."

    ...

Jefferson County Sheriff John Stone talked to county Commissioner Patricia Holloway, after Holloway received a call from President Clinton.

Stone: "You talked to Slick Willie, he called you up?"

Holloway: "But John, he was really nice. I don't think anybody's taking this lightly."

Chris Morris, a friend of Harris and Klebold: "I've heard them talk about it once before. I know them, I thought they were my friends. ... I thought they were kidding around."

    ...

Dispatch: "Do you have an emergency?"

Caller: "Yes. I need the PIO (public information officer), please. This is FOX News. We're on (the) air."
